An experienced Executive and Leadership Coach (MCC), Michal started TML Coaching & Consulting in 2006, a natural development after managing an NGO, starting a fair-trade business and training and facilitating for over three decades.
Michal sees coaching as a safe space for thinking, re-evaluating, removing limiting assumptions and unlocking new possibilities. Systematically engaging in this process yields new thinking and behaviours, leading to improved performance. Michal coaches C-suite to middle management and individual contributors with the same passion and dedication to helping people become better leaders.
Leadership starts with self knowledge, authenticity, resilience and self management. It requires understanding others, and learning to respect and thrive with others’ diversity.
A psychology degree and over twenty five years as a manager in a variety of settings and in four different countries led her to appreciate the powerful, yet simple, tools that coaching utilises: Asking powerful questions while supporting people in their quest to achieve their goals, using empathy and championing but also challenging and directness.
Based in Cape Town, Michal spends time in the UK, and works both virtually and in person.

Alex’s personal experiences of leadership, the impact of change, especially when it is sudden and tumultuous, and her passion for growth and development brought her to the world of coaching as an approach to resourcefully navigate life.
Her focus is on leadership as a core life skill which enables people and organisations to shape their future.
As a pharmacist, Alex held the leadership positions of Chief Pharmacist in a private hospital and Technical Director for a pharmaceutical distribution business. These roles taught her that as a hierarchical leader, your leadership of people has a direct impact on individual performance. This work distilled her interest in motivation and the value of creating clear and useful structures for individuals and teams to work within.
Earning a Master’s degree, her dissertation focused on creating integration in the diverse social environment of business when extrinsic change has a profound impact on individuals, teams and the organisation. Alex has further professional experience in building brands working with leaders on developing the ability to distil and communicate a compelling vision. The complexity of humans requires clear thinking, open engagement and skilful conversations. Creating spaces of productive learning for teams and individuals is her passion.
Alex’s career path and life experiences give her a depth of knowledge. Her approach is very pragmatic and engaging, with encouragement and support for the process of learning, and creating sustainable change.

Karen qualified as a business and life coach in 2006 following an extensive business career in both South Africa and the UK. Karen is particularly passionate about partnering with clients to find their strengths, achieve their goals and realise their full potential.
She sees team development as a crucial element for profitability. Passionate about team coaching, she works with teams to build trust, learn to deal with conflict and become a cohesive, highly productive, team.
Her experience with recruitment assists her in helping identify people’s talents and make the most of those in the workplace.
Karen has decades of training, group coaching and mediation experience. She sees coaching as a solution-focused, results-oriented systematic process in which the client and coach collaborate to focus on the learning and subsequent growth of the client. Her approach is embedded in her understanding of the realities of the business world.
